Real learning happens when someone thinks about how your brain is processing. We always offer a FREE 15 minute intro session with a tutor so you can get to know their approach and their personality.

What is the difference between Tutor and Lead Tutor?

CHEMDUNN only works with 3% of tutor applicants—ensuring that everyone on the team not only possesses expertise in their course area, but also has alignment to the passion and skills required to guide students to success. Its simple: we want to see you win and you can only do that with the best help.

Whether you choose a Tutor or a Lead Tutor, you’re getting a dedicated, passionate, and knowledgable individual committed to your academic growth and success.

The majority of the students and families we work with, select the Tutor level and the average rating for these tutors is 10/10. Lead Tutors are particularly useful for those students with a learning difference, struggles with executive function, and/or having a great difficulty with the material.

Tutor

  • Qualifications: Solid subject knowledge with at least three years of tutoring experience.

  • Scope: Typically familiar with a specific curriculum or student demographic (e.g., one school). More experienced that a generalist tutor who can ‘tutor science.’

  • Investment: Lower rate, reflecting their level of experience—ideal for students seeking quality support at a more accessible price.

Lead Tutor

  • Qualifications: Extensive experience in a specific course or subject, with on average of 7 years experience working with students.

  • Expertise: In-depth understanding of course demands, exam expectations, and commonly tested concepts and working with a diverse set of students.

  • Investment: Higher rate, reflecting their specialized skill set and proven track record for delivering exceptional results.
